TOMS RUDZINSKIS

After graduating from the prestigious Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Toms chose to remain in the Netherlands and make the capital his base. Toms has performed in Spain, Iceland, Georgia, Curacao, Portugal, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, The Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Baltic States and more. Currently residing in Riga, Latvia.

He has won numerous jazz and classical music awards. Amongst other prizes, he was chosen as best soloist at the international big band competition “Meer Jazz”, and won the “Keep an Eye” jazz award with the quartet “North by Northeast”, competing against musicians from New York, Boston, Philadelphia and The Netherlands. In 2012, Toms was selected as a jazz ambassador to the internationally recognized venue Bimhuis. In year 2013  won the Grand Prix in the prestigious “Burghausen Jazz competition” with ”Matiss Cudars quartet”, which led to an opportunity to share the stage with internationally recognized Cassandra Wilson. In year 2015 won a grand prix in “Dutch Jazz Competition” with Loran Witteveen quintet which led to a tour in 2016 in the biggest concert venues in The Netherlands. In year 2015 released debut album “ABRA” that got nominated for Latvian Emmy in two categories – best jazz album and best debut.

MIKE PARKER

Mike Parker – kontrabasista, Nowojorczyk mieszkający na stałe w Krakowie. W wieku 17 lat prowadził już własny zespół, z którym występował w nowojorskich klubach. Zainspirowany muzyką Charlesa Mingusa rozpoczął naukę gry na kontrabasie. Uczęszczał do Skidmore College, gdzie studiował Psychologię Ewolucyjną i Muzykę, spędził również semestr w Holandii w Conseravatorium van Amseterdam. Miał możliwość studiowania z jednymi z największych basistów na świecie (Scott Colley, Reid Anderson, Reubin Rogers). Po ukończeniu studiów w 2010 roku spędził rok w New York’s Capital Region grywając m.in. z the Brian Patneaude Quartet. Obecnie Mike Parker mieszka w Krakowie, gdzie z grupą Mike Parker Unified Theory nagrał swój drugi album „Embrace the Wild” i wygrał w dwóch Międzynarodowych Konkursach Jazzowych: Tarnów 2012 oraz Jazz Juniors 2012.
