„My band is the Charles Burton Blues Band (CB3 for short).

I play high energy swinging blues in a trio format.  I’ve put out five CDs, (with a 6th live CD coming out soon).  I won the regional International Blues Competition in 2009 and represented San Diego at the Memphis IBC.  Also won San Diego’s „King of the Blues” regional competion that year.  Several of my albums have been nominated for the San Diego Music Awards Best Blues Album of the Year.  I’ve toured with Lazy Lester in the UK, showcased with Bernard Purdie, opened for Walter Trout, Lucky Peterson, John Primer.

I’ve also toured in Europe extensively since 2005 (mostly Scandinavia) as the leader/guitarist/singer of my own trio.  Drummer Asmus Jensen, who came up in the Austin blues scene and toured with Omar and the Howlers for many years.  Bass player Kris Bodzon has played with many top recording and touring acts.  When we get together it’s an Americana roots extravaganza not to be missed :-)”
