Considered one of the most inventive violinist today, who „must be commended for developing a completely new vocabulary for the jazz violin” (The Guardian/UK) and „has, without doubt, the greatest technique of any jazz violinist alive today” (FAZ/Germany).
Bałdych goes uncompromisingly his own way, permanently showing new musical areas that he has discovered for himself. His music derives from the rich source of classical music techniques and sounds, but in its nature is unpredictable, free and deeply rooted in the jazz idiom.

„A Masterpiece of empathy and creativity” (Jazzwise – Stuart Nicholson) / „The New Tradition” Adam Bałdych & Yaron Herman.

Consciously refers in his music to Polish tradition and blurs the differences between classical and jazz music. „A wonderful expedition” (Stereo), where “Never has silence sounded more beautiful.”(Kulturzeitschrift).

His fast-growing career allowed him to present his music at many prestigious festivals around the world (i.e. London Jazz Festival, Jarasum Jazz Festival, Berlin Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival) presenting his music in Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Norway, Finland, Sweden, The Netherlands, Indonesia, USA, South Korea, China, Japan, Canada, Czech Rep, Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iceland and many other countries.

„Bałdych is a genial virtuoso who is capable of creating unbelievably tender and forcefully grabbing music through his instrument.” (Kulturzeitschrift/ DE)

Bałdych after Zbigniew Seifert & Michał Urbaniak continues the great tradition of Polish jazz violinist. – (Mannheimer Morgen), redefining sound and concept of improvising violin bringing it to next level. „Listening to Adam’s playing, I’m happy about future of jazz violin” concludes Jean Luc Ponty.
Adam Bałdych recently focused also on composing for bigger bands. In 2014 he composed a special cycle „Mozaika” for orchestra and jazz quintet – referring to culture mixtures of alluvial population and drawing from their tradition. Also, in 2015 he composed „Mozaika – Impresje” – for improvised violin, vocal, piano, double bass, percussion and string orchestra for Baltic Neopolis Orchestra order. In 2016 as an answer to war in Syria, Bałdych writes „Antiphona – Syrian Psalms” and invites Syrian singer Dima Orscho. Music written for orchestra, voice and improvising instruments based on apocrypha found in Syria, was premiered in NOSPR hall in Katowice, financially supporting people who suffered in war in Syria.
