The rhythm section is created by the musicians of the Audiofeeling Band\, whereas the guests are thematically related to the work of the artist that is presented. Each concert serves not only a meeting with the history of jazz music but also gives a unique opportunity to listen to (live!) the outstanding guests of Paweł Kaczmarczyk. \nCLIFFORD BROWN \n(1930-1956) \n \nClifford Brown  aka “Brownie”\, was an American jazz trumpeter. He died at the age of 25 in a car accident\, leaving behind only four years’ worth of recordings. Nonetheless\, he had a considerable influence on later jazz trumpet players\, including Donald Byrd\, Lee Morgan\, Booker Little\, Arturo Sandoval and Freddie Hubbard. He was also a composer of note: two of his compositions\, “Joy Spring”and “Daahoud”\, have become jazz standards. \nBrown won the Down Beat critics’ poll for the “New Star of the Year” in 1954; he was inducted into the Down Beat “Jazz Hall of Fame” in 1972 in the critics’ poll. \n \nPAWEŁ KACZMARCZYK \n \nb. He received a thorough musical education at the music school in Elbląg and then at the Faculty of Jazz and Contemporary Music at the Academy of Music in Katowice. \nHe won many awards as a soloist\, bandleader and composer including: Jazz and Blues Musical Contest in Gdynia\, “Key to the Career” at Pomeranian Jazz Autumn\, Grand Prix at Jazz Juniors and two nominations to the Fryderyk Music Award. \nToday\, bound for a new musical direction\, Małek widens his harmonic and melodic context adding some rhythmic elements inspired by European folk music and contemporary multicultural sounds. \n\n His latest album Air features a quartet\, leaving lots of space for collective improvisation and enriching means of interpretation of the trumpet. \n\nHis another album\, Stalgia\, was recorded with great European musicians: Arild Andersen\, Hans van Oosterhout\, Marcin Wasilewski and David Doruzka. \nCollaboration:\nMaria Schneider\, Michał Urbaniak\, Wojciech Karolak\, Tomasz Szukalski\, Zbigniew Namysłowski\, Leszek Możdżer\, Zbigniew Wegehaupt\, Gary Bartz\, Billy Harper\, Steve Logan\, Dan Tepfer\, Eric Allen\, Arild Andersen\, Ziw Rawitz\, Hans van Oosterhout\, Lucas Pino\, Troy Miller and many others. \n \n  \n  \n
