It includes songs from Broadway\nmusicals\, Hollywood films\, and works by composers such as Jerome Kern\, Duke Ellington\, and Billy Strayhorn. These pieces have become a part of the jazz standards canon\, serving as a key repertoire for\nmusicians\, particularly between the 1920s and 1960s. Even today\, they are performed at various concerts and jam sessions. \nThe program of the concert „The best of: Great American Songbook”\nconsists of selected jazz standards from this canon\, presented in\nfresh arrangements that still capture the spirit of the past century.\nJoin us for this unique evening filled with swinging rhythms\,\natmospheric ballads\, and the charm of bygone times. We hope our music will create a unique ambiance and let you almost travel back in time. \nSzymon Wojnarowicz Trio\n\nFounded in 2021\, this trio combines a passion for music\, free\nimprovisation\, and a wide range of inspirations. The group won first\nprize in the WesJazz Competition and has performed at many music\nfestivals. The trio collaborates with other artists\, inviting them to\njoin their projects or participating in various musical endeavors\nthemselves. \nThis time\, the instrumentalists will be joined by vocalist Jan\nPiwowarczyk\, a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice\, where he studied jazz vocals. He co-creates his own musical and theatrical projects\, writes and composes pieces\, as well as arranges music for his endeavors\, working in genres such as jazz\, soul\, R’n’B\, as well as ethnic and electronic music. Since 2018\, he has been performing in Poland and abroad\, participating in numerous international jazz festivals\, including the Kraków Summer Jazz Festival\, Jazz Around\, and the Gdynia Ladies Jazz Festival. \n
