This Brooklyn-Born, Haitian-American musician is truly a rarity. A master of many genres ranging from soul to jazz to Haitian roots music, Melanie Jean-Baptiste Charles always delivers. Melanie is graduate of the world famous LaGuardia High School For The Performing Arts as a flute major and the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music with a degree in vocal Jazz performance. Melanie has already seen the world and performed as a leader and as a “featured singer” at top venues such as Blue Note NY, Milan and Japan, Duc Des Lombards in Paris, LPR in NY and many more. Melanie has worked on 2 albums with world renowned producer/ guitarist Nicola Conte and has been featured on his latest two albums “Love and Revolution” and “Free Souls” along side such heavy weights as Gregory Porter and Jose James. Haitian Author Ralph Boncy & the Haitian Jazz Foundation featured Charles in the latest book “Grand Dames De La Musique Haitienne” which also included Toto Bisainthe and Martha Jean Claude. Melanie has shared the stage with top Haitian Artists such as James Germain, Belo, Buyu Ambroise, Emeline Michel, and many more. Melanie also performs under the alias name D’flower as part of a project called RAT HABITAT. with an addictive electronic/soul sound. RAT HABITAT. Released their much anticipated debut EP “GUNS THAT SHOOT BUBBLEs last year and has since received rave reviews from Gilles Peterson, Okayplayer and Afropunk.

JANUSZ SKOWRON

An outstanding polish jazz pianist, composer and arranger. He graduated from the Elsner School of Music in Warsaw, in the organ class.

In 1980 performed at the Jazz Jamboree Festival with Kazimierz Jonkisz band and a year later became a member of the String Connection group. Since 1985 he collaborated with Tomasz Stańko Free Electronic group.

Since 1990 he has toured and recorded with Zbigniew Namysłowski and then in 1997 with Krzysztof Zawadzki’s Walk Away. Winner of many awards – including Polish Cultural Foundation Prize name of Krzysztof Komeda. Almost continuously since 1982, the yearly laureate Jazz Top – readers poll Jazz Forum Magazine.

Janusz Skowron also collaborated with Eric Marienthal, Bill Evans, Randy Brecker, Dean Brown, David Gilmore, Kenny Wheeler. Janusz Skowron has performed in most European countries, as well as in Canada, Israel and Indonesia.

DISHAN HARPER is one of Atlanta’s most accomplished musicians. He began playing the upright bass at the age of 15 performing in various school orchestras and jazz bands. His father Danny Harper is a Jazz trumpet instructor at Miles College and his mother Terry Harper was the former pianist for the African American Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra. His uncles Winard (former Drummer for Betty Carter) and Philip Harper (trumpeter for the Mingus Big Band) have launched several recordings for Verve record label under their group called the Harper Brothers. Dishan obtained his bachelors degree in Jazz Studies from Georgia State University while studying bass under the direction of Robert Dixon. He has performed with several famous Jazz musicians such as George Cables, Russel Gunn and toured Columbia South America alongside Emory University Jazz band. He continues to perform in local nightclubs throughout the city and has been the bassist for the African American Philharmonic Orchestra since 2013.

MIROSŁAW SITKOWSKI –  Polish drummer. He learned from  records of the gratest`s drummers like  Elvin Jones, Tonny Williams or Jimmy Cobb whose he get to know on Umbria Jazz Festival in 1984. Miroslaw played on the most important jazz festival in his country and in whole Europe: Umbria Jazz Festival-Italy, Pori Jazz Festival-Finland, Umea Jazz Festival-Sweden, with polish young jazz gropu Heavy Metal Sextet , Miroslaw is laureate of Dunkierque Jazz competition in France and Houliard, Belgium.

Miroslaw Sitkowski played with many grat musician`s as David Fredman, Bill Mollenhoff, Arthur Lipner, Danny Goodhave.

During his cruise ships contract`s Miroslaw played with artist such as Kenney James, Debrah Gibson, Mark Preston and Natalie Cole.
