SIMEON LENOIR – performer, composer and script-writer – was born in Nancy, France. He began working as an actor and musician from a young age, developing his artistic career through contact with professionals rather than formal music education.
Currently based in Brittany, he has lived in Paris, London and Berlin, and his passion for travel and African music has taken him all around North and West Africa. Meetings and exchanges with artists from the Ivory Coast, Senegal, and Ghana helped to shape his colourful sound. His music is a melting pot of ancestral rhythms and world sounds; a celebration of the sun and its energy, which searches for harmony between cultures.

As a singer-songwriter, he has released seven albums and performed over 1500 concerts. In 2003 he was awarded the prestigious ‘ Prix du Disque Produit en Bretagne’ (for “In Extremis”)
